Why take part?
1.24 million people are killed globally from road crashes every year. This figure is set to rise and is predicted by the Word Health Organisation to become the leading cause of death and disability by 2020, overtaking HIV/AIDS if nothing is done to avert the crisis.
Transaid is currently working to improve professional driver training standards and reduce the number of road fatalities in Zambia, Tanzania and Uganda.
We are also working to tackle child and maternal mortality by improving access to primary healthcare in Nigeria, Madagascar, Zambia and several other African countries.
Funds raised from Cycle Zambia 2018 will help Transaid continue their vital work and expand our projects further.
